Music department presents guitar concert April 27

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Department of Music will present an evening of music for guitar ensemble on Monday, April 27, at 8 p.m. in the W. H. Shipley Recital Hall of the Frank Center. The concert, which will be directed by William Feasley, adjunct music professor, will feature students from Shepherd’s music department, Feasley’s private studio, and the Shepherd Music Preparatory Division.

The program will include “Prelude and Fugue in the Old Style” by Ralph Bansen, “Dos Piezas Caballerescas” by Joaquin Rodrigo, “Piece in the Form of an Habanera” by Maurice Ravel and arranged by Dakota Slay-Vincent, “Cuban Landscapes with Rain” by Leo Brouwer, “Grieses y Soles” by Maximo Pujol, and “Piece after Brandenburg for Guitar Sextet” by Duncan Druce.
