Women's Caucus Meeting

Minutes
Monthly meeting: June 10th

HIGHLIGHTS AND CONCERNS

1. Hannah Geffert gave information on next week's School-to-Work Career Academy. Forty students from the surrounding area will be attending. The Academy is a service to the community to promote continued education of high school students, once they graduate.

2. Mentoring: THE WOMEN'S CAUCUS SUPPORTS THIS PROGRAM AND EXPRESSED CONCERN OF THE NEED FOR IT TO BE DUPLICATED IN THOSE ACADEMIC AREAS WHERE IT DOES NOT CURRENTLY EXIST.

Anna Mary Walsh explained the mentoring program that many classified employees would like to see put into place for new full-time staff members. Mentoring is currently being accomplished by the English Department and for the adjuncts in the Business Administration Department.

NEXT MEETING: Wed. July 8, 1998
