Dr. Dunlop addressed the Caucus and expressed his thanks to us for working with him in bringing issues to his attention this year. He offered support in continuing quarterly meetings with Caucus representatives. He suggested that a member of the Caucus work with the designated member of his Executive Staff on issues of the Administration that are placed in the Shepherd College Picket.
Announcement was made of the upcoming Women's Town Meeting at the Comfort Inn-Aikens Center in Martinsburg, sponsored by the West Virginia Women's Commission. This event will be Saturday, Sept. 12th from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. For further information, contact Cindy Stewart (ext. 5175) or Anna Mary Walsh (5221). The Women's Commission will hold its business meeting on Friday, Sept. 11th at 7:00 p.m. at the Comfort Inn. It is open to the public.
Changes to the brochure included:
* Listing of Caucus Activities to show the projects/goals we sponsor/support.
* Membership to the Women's Caucus would not only include women but also any student, staff, or faculty of Shepherd College. Other ideas may still be submitted. This will continue as an agenda item at our September meeting.
Next meeting: Wednesday, Sept. 9th at 1:00 in the College Center.
