The Masterworks Chorale is the Eastern Panhandle’s premiere vocal ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Rachel Carlson. This spring, they will be performing the Romantic masterpiece Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem in their concert on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 8:00 pm in the Frank Center Theater.
The Masterworks Chorale meets Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 pm in the Frank Arts Center rehearsal hall. The 100-member vocal ensemble, comprised of Shepherd University vocal students and members from the surrounding community, presents two full-length concerts per year of great masterpieces from the choral literature with soloists and orchestra.
Auditions take place at the beginning of every semester, during the first week of classes. Please contact Dr. Rachel Carlson via email if you are interested in auditioning. Spring rehearsals begin January 9th.
