MARTINSBURG, WV — Shepherd University’s Martinsburg Center at 261 Aikens Center is offering rapid registration on Wednesday, August 12, from noon-5 p.m. for students interested in earning a Regents Bachelor of Arts degree. Anyone interested in pursuing an R.B.A. can stop by 261 Aikens Center to learn more and possibly register.

“The Rapid Registration is great for people who aren’t sure about returning to college,” said Beth Thomas, R.B.A. coordinator. “They may have attended one or more colleges in the past and don’t know what to do with the credits they have earned. We can sit down and look at what they have taken and see how it fits in the Regents Bachelor of Arts degree or other degrees.”

“The Rapid Registration event allows a prospect on the verge of deciding whether or not the Regents Bachelor of Arts or another program may be the right fit based on his/her previous college experience,” added Jim Klein, Martinsburg Center director.

The R.B.A. program is geared toward adults who have work and family commitments but are interested in earning a degree. The program offers online and compressed classes and credit for some life and work experience.

Anyone interested in possibly registering is asked to bring official or unofficial transcripts from all the colleges they have attended and a military transcript if they have one. Thomas said those attending the rapid registration event are encouraged to make an appointment, but walk-ins are also welcome. Representatives from Shepherd’s admissions and financial aid offices will be on hand to advise enrollees, and the normal application fee will be waived.

For more information or to register for the rapid registration event, call 304-263-3372, or visit www.MartinsburgCenter.info.
