Non-Shepherd users
Scarborough Library's holdings may be accessed by using Max, the online catalog system.
Visitors not affiliated with Shepherd University are welcome to use the Library's resources on site.
West Virginia residents over the age of 18, or high school graduates, may apply for borrowing privileges. To do so, resident borrowers must present a West Virginia driver's license, or other proof of state residency.
In addition, all Shepherd University alumni are eligible for library borrowing. Interested alumni should contact the Public Services Desk (phone: 304-876-5421) for more information.
Interlibrary loan privileges are limited to current students, faculty, and staff. Other library users should request interlibrary loan services through their public library.
Two computers in the Library's reference area are available for Internet access by any library patron; there are also five computers in the Public Services' area for quick internet access. Users must have a Rambler card in order to print from these workstations. Guest Rambler cards are available in the Library, as well as from VTS machines in White Hall and the Student Center. Black and white printing is $.10 per page and color printing is $.25.
Teachers in the local public schools who wish to arrange for a group visit to the Library should contact Laura Neal (phone: 304-876-5379 or email: lneal@shepherd.edu) at least two weeks in advance.
