Checking out Materials, Fines and Recalls
General check-out policy
- 10-day loan on Audio visual and Curriculum materials
- 28-day loan on circulating collection, Government Documents and bestsellers - note: 120-day loan for faculty on circulating collection
- Renewals are permitted provided no holds exist
- Materials may be renewed online, by phone or in person (304) 876-5421
- May place holds and recalls
- 30 maximum items charged at a give time (Shepherd University students); 20-item limit (WVU Graduate students and West Virginia residents); 50-item limit (staff); 100-item limit (faculty)

Recalls are allowed on 28-Day loans. If someone requests a book that you have checked out, you may be asked to return the book before its normal due date. You will be sent a recall notice informing you of the new due date. Overdue recall fines are $.50 per day.
