Laptop/ iPad / Kindle Borrowing and Liability Policy

Laptop/Mini

You are responsible for the handling and safe return of the laptop or mini.

REPLACEMENT COST OF A LOST OR DAMAGED LAPTOP OR MINI IS THE CURRENT PRICE OF THE SAME OR SIMILAR MODEL

• A Rambler card is MANDATORY to check out a laptop or mini.
• Laptops/minis may not leave the library.
• LOAN PERIOD: Two Hours, library use only.
• RENEWALS: One renewal allowed, given that no one is waiting for it.
• OVERDUE FINES: $1.00/HOUR.
• Missing, damaged, or lost items that accompany the check-out of the laptop/mini (Ethernet cord, power cord, backpack, laptop case) will be charged to your account. You will be charged the full amount of the item(s).
• If a theft occurs, report it immediately to the Public Services desk.

iPad

You are responsible for the handling and safe return of the iPad.

REPLACEMENT COST OF A LOST OR DAMAGED iPAD IS THE CURRENT PRICE OF THE SAME OR SIMILAR MODEL

• A Rambler card is MANDATORY to check out an iPad.
• LOAN PERIOD: Two weeks
• RENEWALS: One renewal allowed, given that no one is waiting for it.
• OVERDUE FINES: $.50 cents/day
• Missing, damaged, or lost items that accompany the iPad (case, power cord) will be charged to your account. You will be charged the full amount of the item(s).

Kindle

You are responsible for the handling and safe return of the Kindle.

REPLACEMENT COST OF A LOST OR DAMAGED KINDLE IS THE CURRENT PRICE OF THE SAME OR SIMILAR MODEL

• LOAN PERIOD: Two weeks
• RENEWALS: Five renewals allowed, given that no one is waiting for it.
• OVERDUE FINES: $.50 cents/day
• Missing, damaged, or lost items that accompany the Kindle (case, power cord) will be charged to your account. You will be charged the full amount of the item(s).
