Get Out of Town

Washington DC or Baltimore MD.

All members of the campus community (full-time or part-time students, faculty, staff, and friends of the  University) are invited to use the Saturday bus service. Children must be escorted by an adult.

Tickets are free and on a first-come, first-serve bases. 

Time Schedule

Bus departs from the  Student Center at 8:30 a.m.  You must be at the designated pickup area prior to departure time.  Bus leaves DC or Baltimore at 4:45 p.m.  This schedule will give you approximately 6  hours in the city.

Schedule Changes:  Gateway reserves the right to modify schedules (departure and arrival times) in order to accommodate class trips.  Passengers will be notified of any changes prior to trip.

Stop & Pickup Location

The bus stop and pickup is in front of the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC and at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD.

Note: Stops and pickup locations may change due to traffic and events.  Please confirm with the Gateway attendant on the day of the trip for the exact pickup location.

Please arrive at the pickup point a little early. Washington & Baltimore have strict rules governing buses. The bus will not wait! If you get left behind it will be your responsibility to find a way back to Shepherdstown!!
