Job Shadowing

Job shadowing is an opportunity for students to observe what professionals in their career field do on a daily basis. The job shadowing experience might also be helpful for students who are interested in more than one major or career field and would like to learn more about typical duties and responsibilities.

Students interested in participating in the job shadowing program should stop by the Career Services office to pick from the list of employers. Once this step has been completed, the student would then contact the employer to pick a day that works best for both, as well as either a full day or half day experience.

After a student has completed a job shadowing experience and before he/she can receive the Ram Rewards stamp or signature,  the student must submit a one page reflection on the experience to Career Services by email at jobweb@shepherd.edu.

What should be included in the reflection?
