Upgrade timeline for University hardware and software in labs and offices

Directive

I. T. Services must have a two week notice for any software or hardware installations in any campus labs or offices. This includes new software programs and new computers.

Rationale

In order to plan our work and provide you the best service, we must be informed of all software and hardware changes at least two weeks before it is needed. By being able to know about needed tasks at least two weeks before they are needed, we can put this on our schedule. This will allow us to do any preliminary work. We can also make sure the required resources are available, and to shift these resources as needed.
