WebCT Class Creation


You may request space for a course on the WebCT server through the RAIL system. Here are the steps you will need to following:

 
1. Log into the RAIL system. If you are unsure how to do this, here is How to log into RAIL.
 
 
2. Once you are in RAIL, click on either the Faculty Services tab at the top or click on Faculty and Advisors.
 
 
 

3. Once you click on either of these, you will be presented with the following menu. Click on "Request WebCT Class".

 
 
 

4. On the screen, click on the drop-down box and select the appropriate term. After the term is selected, click on the Submit button.

 
 
 

5. Once you have selected a term, you may choose the courses you want by clicking on the check box next to the course. After you are done, click on the Submit button.

 
 
 

6. Once you have submitted the request, you may exit RAIL if you are done. If you want to request more courses from a different term, click on the Faculty Services Tab as shown in #2 above. Next click on the Term Selection option and click on the Submit button as shown below. Click on "Request WebCT Class" on the screen and do the necessary steps as before.

 

You may abandon your request at any time by clicking on the Return to Menu in the top right corner. This will return you to the Faculty and Advisors menu.

 

Please allow 2 to 3 business days after your request has been submitted for the courses to be created.
If you do not have them on your MyWebCT course list after that time, please contact the User Support Desk.
