Folders to your M Drive in Office 2003
You can manually transfer old items to your M
drive to free up space in your email account. To archive each folder
separately, follow these directions for each folder individually.
Go to File menu and click on Archive.
Select the Archive This Folder checkbox and then select the folder
that you want saved.
Enter the age of the items that you want removed to the archive in the
next box by clicking on the drop down menu and selecting today's date.
Under Archive file:, type in M:\ and the filename (example:
archive.pst). Click OK to launch the archiving process.
The archiving message will appear in the lower right corner of Outlook
window. The archiving may takes a few minutes.
Once this is finished, you can find the folder(s) in the folder list
under Archive Folders. You may need to close and then re-open
Outlook in order for this folder to display.
