The Office of Institutional Research coordinates and conducts evaluations for courses taught at Shepherd in the Fall and Spring semesters.

Evaluations are done in either paper or electronic format, and include both multiple-choice questions and a comments section. Results are tabulated and returned to instructors after the final grades for the courses are due.

Please note. As of Fall 2006, RAIL evaluations are to be used only by tenured faculty. Non-tenured faculty and adjunct instructors should request paper evaluations, not RAIL evaluations.

The schedule for course evaluations for 2007-2008 is as follows:

Fall:

bullet RAIL evaluations for first-8-weeks courses: Oct. 1- Oct. 14
bullet Paper and RAIL evaluations for full-semester and last-8-weeks courses: Nov. 12 - Dec. 9

Spring:

bullet RAIL evaluations for first-8-weeks courses: Feb. 25 - Mar. 9
bullet Paper and RAIL evaluations for full-semester and last-8-weeks courses: Apr. 7 - May 4

More information about these evaluations is available below. Files are in PDF format, and require Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be obtained here:
