New students living in the residence halls moved in on August 23. The students and their families were greeted by staff and student leaders who helped them move into their rooms.
Members of the class of 2022 started the day in Ram Stadium on August 24 to see a performance by the Ram Band. They then walked to the Butcher Center for convocation, which featured an address by Dr. Laura Clayton, with a welcome by President Mary J.C. Hendrix, and greetings by SGA president Danielle Stephenson. After the convocation, students had the opportunity to meet J.C., Shepherd’s mascot, and to watch an exhibition football game.
J.C. visited with the football team during a practice the week of August 13.
