2006 Alternative Energy Odyssey
An event sponsored by the WV Development Office and hosted by the Shepherd University Institute for Environmental Studies
Shepherd University Frank Center
October 12, 2006
The Background of Odyssey
This free conference is being held as a part of the National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey, a biennial, one-day nationwide event dedicated to promoting the use of AFVs and advanced technology vehicles. This national event has been developed and coordinated by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium, aided by the support of the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
In 2004, 54 sites in 34 states participated by hosting AFV activities which engaged over 25,000 people, and it is estimated that the Odyssey message reached more than 24 million individuals through media coverage. Shepherd University is honored to become part of this successful outreach program by hosting the Alternative Energy Odyssey.
Please join us on October 12th at the Frank Center in Shepherdstown WV!
