RECR 316:

Recreational and Sport Programming

Course Description:  A study of principles, policies, and procedures needed to organize, direct, and conduct recreation programs.
  • Learning Outcomes:
    • Students in this course will be assessed on their ability to:
      1. Understand general concepts of recreation/sport programming
      2. Render needs assessment of their target market
      3. Synthesize outcome oriented goals for their program
      4. Structure and coordinate a program for their peers
      5. Render a clear program promotional plan
      6. Correctly evaluate their program in relationship to their written goals and objectives.
      7. Work as a team to produce a structured program and program plan portfolio.
      8. Design a Program Plan Portfolio

  • Direct Measure: RECR 316 (Programming course): Program Plan Portfolio:  Student proficiency in design, planning, & evaluation will be demonstrated through a Class Program Plan Portfolio.

CPI: REVISIONS (June, 2014):

Due to past results and recommendations it was determined that RECR 316 Program Plan did not adequately measure diversity and therefore will not be used in the Revised Assessment Plan as a measure of learning.
