Admission to the Master of Music, Music Education Program
Entrants must have completed a bachelors degree in music and be certified to teach. Interested students without certification will be directed to the undergraduate certification program before pursuing the masters degree. A videotape of teaching or conducting, an entrance interview and a theory and history diagnostic exam is also required. The results of these exams may require remedial preparation before admission (this is called provisional acceptance) through either the applicant's individual effort or by enrolling in coursework prior to admission.

Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended should be sent separately from the institution to the above address.

Tuition and Fees
Graduate tuition at Shepherd University for the 2008-2009 academic year is $281 per credit hour for West Virginia Residents and $402 per credit hour for out-of-state students.
