A Shepherd University Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) may be your ticket to success! Realize your potential and achieve your career goals. You can gain the skills and experience you need to increase your chances for success by taking on leadership roles and gaining real world experience!
Shepherd's M.B.A. program is designed specifically to fit your needs, your schedule, your professional goals and your budget.
NEW CONCENTRATIONS FOR FALL 2013!
The Shepherd M.B.A. program creates a stimulating environment that is diverse, challenging, and focused on global connections, while at the same time providing real-world experiences to our graduate students.
All students take a 21-credit core that includes courses in leadership & ethics, marketing, management theory, economics, and accounting. Students in the general track complete their coursework with a flexible set of electives, while the other concentrations in Accounting, Health Administration, Public Management and Sport Management have more specific requirements.
The M.B.A. program finishes with a culminating project or capstone in MBA 590 Applied Research Project & Capstone or MBA 591 M.B.A. Internship & Capstone. Here, students work in a collaborative environment with faculty mentors in an open exchange of ideas and information. In the internship experience, students are exposed to new ideas and put theory into practice through contact with influential leaders from a variety of companies and industries. Through these experiences, students heighten their cultural awareness, develop a global perspective, and learn to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, academic and professional backgrounds.
