Meet Our Scholars

Here are some of the faces of the Shepherd University scholars. Our scholars work hard to achieve their goals. Our donors have built the Foundation, and these students have succeeded with assistance from the Foundation.

Hazel Hendricks Scholarship
Linda Shirley
Linda Shirley, a senior from Hedgesville, is the recipient of a scholarship established in 1996 by Hazel Hendricks to provide funds for a student majoring in family and consumer sciences.

James and Katherine Moler Scholarship
Jeremy Maley
Jeremy Maley, a freshman from Harpers Ferry, is the recipient of the James and Katherine Moler Scholarship, which was started in 1981 to provide scholarships to deserving West Virginia students.

Bragaw Scholarship
Justin Blanc
Justin Blanc, a sophomore from Charles Town, is the recipient of the Bragaw Scholarship, started in 1995 by G.D. Bragaw in memory of his late grandfather, Robert Lux. Justin is shown below at the 2004 Scarborough Gala where he helped out as photographer with assistant Nicole Johnson.
