12th Annual Scarborough Society Gala

Gone With the Wind

 

 

Many guests embraced the gala's theme by dressing in character. Rhett Butler himself even made an appearance!

 

The presenting and band sponsors of the 12th Annual Scarborough Society Gala and their spouses posed in front of a white Civil War-era stage coach. Pictured l. to r.: Eric ’95 and Joy ’91 Lewis with Jefferson Security Bank; Michael ’89 and Wendy Smith with Valley Proteins, Inc.; Gina Miller ’10 and Robert Walters with Millers Electric Company, Inc., who sponsored the band, Souled Out; Marty and Marlyn Keesecker with BB&T Wealth Management; and Christopher ’95 and Samantha Colbert with United Bank.

Guests had their photos taken in front of a replica of Tara, created by Tom Neal and the Jefferson High School drama department.

Guests also enjoyed a scrumptious three-course southern-style dinner amid decor that invoked the Old South, including silver candelabras and crystal vases holding magnolias. Music from the sweeping soundtrack to the 1939 Academy Award-winning feature film adaptation starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable added to the overall atmosphere of southern charm.

Souled Out is always a big hit at the annual Scarborough Society Gala, as guests enjoy dancing under the stars following dinner.
