The International Spy Museum, Washington D.C. In 2012, nearly 50 people people traveled by bus to the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. for the Scarborough Society's spring bus excursion. On board the bus were Jonna and Tony Mendez, former CIA agents and Chiefs of Disguise, who provided commentary on some of their experiences at the CIA. They described one particularly complex "defiltration" caper that is the basis for a new movie, "Argo," to be released this fall, starring George Clooney. Video clips demonstrating complicated make-up and disguise elements used to create new personas were of particular interest to the group. The Mendezes, who were actively involved in the creation of the Spy Museum, shared some background history that added to the group's appreciation of the museum and made the trip very memorable.
