MEET OUR DONORS

J.J. and Mike Smith
J.J. and Michael '89 Smith, owners of Valley Proteins, Inc., a family owned and nationally recognized rendering and recycling business, named this fund to honor the memory of their maternal grandfather, a self-educated hard worker who had to drop out of school to support his mother and sister. He was always a strong supporter of education and encouraged his grandchildren to go to college. This endowment will provide funds to strengthen academic excellence and stimulate the growth of Shepherd's business program. Mr. Snyder's daughter, Dolores Smith, is also a major contributor to the fund.
