MISCELLANEOUS PHYSICAL PLANT PROJECTS REPORT

Knutti Hall TV Studio Project
The scope of work is to renovate the lower level L-10, G2 and G3 area, of Knutti into a TV Studio, Control Booth, Computer Classroom, a small Restroom, four new offices, and includes HVAC systems to support the other areas of G-level. Bids were received on April 27, 2011 with Rockwell Construction being the low bidder. Work is scheduled to start May 9 and be completed by August 5, 2011.

Currently: The project is near complete.

Campus Way Finding Signs
The scope of work is to continue the installation and upgrading of campus way finding signs consistent with the campus way finding sign master plan. Primarily this will include handicap parking signs, parking lot identification and way finding signs.

Currently: We await the mfg. and delivery of the signs.

ADA Access Human Resources
The scope of work is to create an ADA access to the Human Resources building. Work to commence after plans have been completed and approved.

Currently: Bids have been received and the contractor is mobilizing. Work should begin by November 21.

White Hall Elevator
The scope of work is to replace the existing elevator with a new one. The existing electro-mechanical controls are failing and difficult to maintain. Eliminating the existing in-ground hydraulic jack in favor of a hole-less elevator will also eliminate a significant liability exposure. This project should begin after graduation in May 2012 and be completed by August 15, 2012.
