This project is complete except for processing close-out documents.
Ikenberry Hall HVAC
The scope of work includes the total replacement of the HVAC systems on the ground and first floors of the building. The second floor was previously renovated in 2005. Included in the scope of work is an upgrade to the HVAC systems in the IT server room that will provide an independent and 100% backup system supported by the backup generator. The existing building HVAC system does not meet current indoor air regulations and the existing 40+ year old mechanical systems are failing.
Update: Occupants in respective work areas have been relocated. Work began May 13, 2013 beginning with a hazard abatement component and demolition of the existing HVAC system. Project completion is scheduled for August 2, 2013.
Byrd Science Stair Tower
The scope of work is to remove existing water damaged glazing and wood frame components and replace with aluminum framed glazing.
Update: Mobilization and construction activity will begin approximately two weeks prior to the arrival of the new replacement windows. This will minimize the construction activity and the need for temporary weather protection. Demolition is expected to begin early to mid-June and be completed by July 19, 2013.
Miller Hall HVAC
The scope of work includes the removal of all HVAC systems in the building. The existing systems do not meet current indoor air regulations and are failing mechanically due to age. A new variable refrigerant volume system is to be installed. The existing oil fired boiler system is to be removed.
Update: This project is on hold at present. To be re-bid and scheduled in May 2014.
White Hall Elevator Upgrade
The scope of work includes the complete removal of the existing elevator and all components; extension of the elevator shaft to extend the elevator to the roof level; construction of a vestibule at the roof level and the installation of all new controls and hole-less hydraulic elevator system.

Stutzman Slonaker Elevator Upgrade

Update: Demolition work should begin the week of May 28, 2013 and the project should be completed by August 2, 2013. Contractors are mobilizing at present.
Gardiner Roof Replacement
The scope of work includes the complete removal of the existing roof system components and the installation of a new roofing system and related masonry repairs to the roof parapet wall areas.
Update: Work could begin May 6, 2013 and should be complete by August 2, 2013. Contractors are on site and have begun demolition of the existing roof.
The scope of work includes the redesign of the existing site to re-grade for proper drainage, install necessary infrastructure conduit, storm water piping, potable water systems and electrical conduit that will result in a regulation grass field and a synthetic turf field.
Update: Work began May 20 with clearing and grubbing of the tree line to the west and the removal and stock piling of topsoil for later use. No trees to the north or south property line area will be affected by this work. Some localized rock removal will be necessary on the west side of the project. Test blasting could begin as early as 5.23.2013. The synthetic field is expected to be completed by mid-August and the balance of the site work should be finished in October.
