Dr. Barnett
specializes in composition and literacy. Prior to coming to
Shepherd University, she was a Visiting English Instructor at North
Carolina Wesleyan College. Dr. Barnett holds a Ph.D. in Rhetoric
and Linguistics from University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA. Her
dissertation is based on original field research and examines the
literacy perspectives of working-class students and their parents on the
Delmarva Peninsula.
