*8:00 p.m. Storer Ballroom,“Living Voices.” Presentation of the Appalachian Writer's Award, Keynote Address, and Literary Discussion followed by Public Reception and Book Signing

Friday, October 3

Morning interview with journalism and Appalachian Culture students at Shepherd
*8:00 p.m. 9^th Annual Appalachian Heritage Festival Concert (recorded by Smithsonian for their archives and for the Library of Congress Archives). Robert Morgan will present a 20-30 minute segment as part of the Friday evening festival concert.
Morgan will also present awards to the winners of the West Virginia Young Writers Competition.
