Curriculum Vitae

As senior editor of Antietam Review, Ethan Fischer produces the journal and conducts interviews. He also advises and contributes to Shepherd arts journal Sans Merci and has served as Arts & Culture editor of the quarterly Mountain Pathways. He has also collaborated on novels The  Turning & Mystic Uncle.

Mr. Fischer’s new book of poetry has been published by The Bunny and Crocodile Press. In addition, Fischer was honored by inclusion in Wild, Sweet Notes: Fifty Years of West Virginia Poetry, 1950-1999.

Mr. Fischer has also contributed an Oxford Encyclopedia entry on Delmore Schwartz; served as theater critic for Shepherdstown Chronicle;  written as a columnist for the Jefferson Spirit Advocate;  created popular mystery series;  and curated a poetry exhibition at Boarman Arts Center, with a published catalogue.

Mr. Fischer’s plays and poetry have been broadcast via the Rumsey Radio Hour. Mr. Fischer also served as producer-writer for the Shepherdstown Radio Company, whose programs aired in eight states. Mr. Fischer has collaborated with Shepherd College’s new/old medieval drama troupe, The Rude Mechanicals and has performed poetry & prose with the band Tribal Jazz.

Mr. Fischer’s work appears in the following publications among others: Potomac Review; Dickinsonian; WPFW Anthology (next to Ferlinghetti); Antietam Review; A Public Hanging; Mountain Pathways; Tuscarora Review; Ruby; Free State; WV Magazine; Virginia Country; and The Pembroke Magazine.
