Prior to coming to Shepherd University, Dr. Denis Berenschot was a Visiting Assistant Professor at American University where he taught graduate and undergraduate translation courses. He specializes in Contemporary Cuban literature and theater. Every summer he leads a travel abroad program to a Latin American country or to Spain. He is also the coordinator of the Spanish section and the Spanish education program.
