The links on this page are not
designed to be comprehensive, as there are now hundreds of web links addressing
each of the categories that this list covers. The first three or four links
in each category are for "super sites" that consist mainly of other links.
Such sites are marked with a
.
These are all excellent research sites whose developers scour the Internet
looking for research-grade materials on their chosen topics. The remainder
of the sites are representative, but by no means exhaustive resources for
the study of a given specialty within the fields of language and literature.
There are very few single-author pages on this list, though such pages
abound and can be found easily through the super sites.
