The New Faculty Learning Communities
"Shepherd Faculty 101" and "Shepherd Faculty 102"
The New Faculty Learning Communities for first and second year faculty members are forums organized to help faculty members who are new to Shepherd University become acclimated, talk about relevant issues, and enjoy guest speakers who address topics like student advisement and tenure and promotion. The New Faculty LC's meets once per month.

For the 2007-2008 academic year, the following new full-time faculty members joined Shepherd: Carol Adams (Nursing Educ.), Stephanie Barnett (English), Mark Cook (Music), Dawn Drooger (Nursing & Biology), Maria Guerrero (Graphic Design), Heidi Hanrahan (English), Dorothy Hively (Education), Elizabeth Jenkins (Education), Leslie Lopez (HPERS), Seung-yun Kim (CIS), Linda Rhone (Education), Alan MacDonald (BADM), Jason McKahan (Mass Comm), Timothy Nixon (English), Mary Strasma (History), Georgianna Toole (Education), Qing Wang (Math), and Zhijun Wang (CIS).
For the 2006-2007 academic year, the following new full-time faculty members joined Shepherd: Tauna Cole (Education), Susan Lovell (Education), Keith Alexander (Environmental Studies), Virginia Hicks (Dean of Education and Professional Studies), Timothy Nixon (English), Stephanie Robbins (Art), Jodi Patterson (Art), Zhijun Wang (Computer Science), Justin Namolik (Athletics), James Nystrom (Computer Science), Dawn Drooger (Biology), Dorothy Hively (Education).
