DR. LAURA RENNINGER NAMED NEW DEAN OF TEACHING & LEARNING

After serving for two semesters as interim Dean of Teaching & Learning, Dr. Laura Renninger was officially named Dean of Teaching & Learning in January 2007. Renninger is the second person to serve as Dean, replacing Dr. Patricia Dwyer who led the development of the Center in 2000 and oversaw its programs and initiatives until leaving her position at Shepherd in December of 2005.

Since coming on as Dean of Teaching & Learning, Renninger has expanded the programs and scope of the CTL and is successfully implementing a wide range of technological, pedagogical, assessment and retention initiatives. She leads the Assessment Task Force, the New Faculty Learning Communities and the Focus on Student Learning sessions. Renninger has been a faculty member in the Shepherd Music Department since 1999.

 

ASSISTANT DEAN OF TEACHING & LEARNING NAMED

Dr. Robert Warburton was selected to serve as the newly appointed Assistant Dean of Teaching & Learning in March of 2007. Warburton will be coordinating and further developing academic advisement at Shepherd beginning with this summer’s upcoming advisement and registration sessions.
