Everything you would like to know about the Shepherd Common Reading, Persepolis, is included on the website. The links on the left lead you to specific information intended for students, parents, faculty and community members. Also included are instructional resources for faculty and a timeline of themed events planned for the entire academic year. You may even like to join our Persepolis blog or our Persepolis Facebook group at: Facebook Shepherd Common Reading 08-09 – Persepolis.
Free books will be given to all first-year students at their Advisement/Registration sessions this summer. Free copies are also available to faculty and staff members who wish to use the book in their classes. For more information, please contact Judi McIntyre (876-5396 or jmcintyr@shepherd.edu) or the Center for Teaching and Learning at 876-5461.
We hope you will participate in our programs this year. Why not invite your classes to enter the Persepolis Essay Contest or to attend a lecture, musical event or Persian dinner at the dining hall? We warmly welcome any suggestions or additional programming ideas. Happy reading!
