Pet Stories:
Scruffy and her family
Scuffy was a very scruffy puppy. Her previous owner was kind of rough, so she needed a lot of loving.
Naomi and Larry were looking for a nice, loving dog for their children, Chloe and Rex. That's when they decided to go to the local animal shelter and adopt a dog. After looking at a few, Scruffy came out and gave both kids huge kisses before running around the yard excitedly. The family knew that they had a new member and they adopted Scruffy.
Chloe and Rex fell in love with Scruffy. She seemed to adopt them as her puppies and took care of them: playing, napping, and guarding them from carpenter bees, they would do everything together. Some days would be nap days other days would be filled with adventures to far off lands finding treasure with pirates or hiding from monsters in the closets. Scruffy was always a large part of the family's lives even when the kids went to high school and college. She's now enjoying retirement and loves when the kids come back for the holidays to play and nap.
Kittle and Brandy
Nicole and Jeremy just got married and have been wanting to get a pet. They both love doing a variety of things, from going on a run in the park to cuddling up while watching a movie. Jeremy works from home while Nicole teaches at a local school. Recently they decided they could get a pet and went to their local No-Kill pet shelter to adopt. That's where they met Kittle and Brandy. Kittle is a cat who knows what she wants, lots of attention. Brandy loves a run in the park, chasing after a stick or a ball. Nicole and Jeremy just hosted their first holiday meal, the whole family came over and everyone commented on how much love and warmth they felt in the house.
James and Carl
After the divorce, James was feeling very lonely. "Most of my free time was spent just wandering around the house." One night he was watching TV, "I saw an ad showing that a pet could be like having some company around the house. I was feeling pretty lonely, so that's when I went to go adopt Carl. He wasn't exactly cute, or exciting, but I could tell he was going to be a good friend."
James and Carl have been hanging out together for a few years now, they're the best of friends.
