Welcome!
Mass communication and digital communication are changing the ways that people generate, disseminate, receive, and use ideas.
The Mass Communication & New Media program accounts for these changes by offering a curriculum that is focused, fundamental, and flexible. (And let's not forget challenging and fun.) Here at Shepherd, our course work provides the skills necessary to communicate effectively using state-of-the-art technologies. Students graduate prepared for careers in industries as diverse as television, radio, advertising, public relations and Web development.
Students have the choice of three concentrations: Digital Filmaking, New Media and Media Studies. The movie clip above shows student work completed for COMM 345 Animation & Communication, a New Media class.
