1. It is mandatory that the project be completed and published in the URC.
In order to ensure that this happens, the funds will not be disbursed to the student until such a time that the research is published and/or presented.
2. The research can be counted as part of the Senior Capstone class in the CME department
if the project meets the standards laid out by the faculty members.
3. The progress of the research activity will be monitored. The student must meet with the
advisor on a regular basis to discuss the progress of the research project.
If satisfactory progress is not achieved, the student will have the privilege to withdraw
from it at any time, with no stigma of any kind attached. The advisor must make it clear that it is the student's responsibility to produce a publishable end product within the timeline to be eligible for any financial compensation.
4. A time extension could be granted in special cases.
