Our 2016 Summer Tour
The Department of Business Administration and Family and Consumer Sciences sponsored a study tour to Austrialia, New Zealand, and Hawaii, June 20-30, 2016. Among the many highlights were a luau and visit to the Arizona Memorial in Hawaii, a visit to the Maori cultural center in New Zealand, and the Sydney Opera House tour and a performance by the Sydney Symphony in Australia. Italy 2013 – Italy was a great way for students to experience another cultue and see first hand how Italian food is prepared. Students participated in a cook off to test their skill in preparing food in another country.
Brazil–Spring Break 2013
The Department of Business Administration and Family and Consumer Sciences sponsored a spring break trip to Brazil in 2013, with visits to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The trip included a combination of business and cultural visits in those cities. This trip was offered for course credit for students enrolled at Shepherd as well as non-credit to community members.
China–Spring Break 2012
The Department of Business Administration and Family and Consumer Sciences sponsored a spring break trip to China in March 2012. The 12-day tour included visits to Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai. Both students and community members participated in the trip.
