You can connect your computers and devices again to our residence hall and wireless networks when you return to campus. We recommend you prepare your devices before bringing them back to campus. To ensure the network is secure and reliable, remember that we must maintain strict standards for operating system versions and virus protection:
Macintoshes must run Mac OS X version 10.9 or higher.
Windows versions we support are 7, 8.1 and 10. Windows computers must have all patches installed and an up-to-date antivirus is required. We recommend Automatic Updates be enabled. Visit Microsoft to check for patches.
The following Windows versions are not supported: 95/98/2000/ME/XP/Vista/8.0
Linux is allowed, but limited support is available.
Here is the list of Anti-Virus software our Client Security Agent (CSA) recognizes: AV List
If your antivirus is not on the list, contact email@example.com to see if we can add it. You must have an anti-virus product installed and up-to-date on your computer. Please remember to set your system for automatic virus definition updates.
When you return to campus at the start of the Fall or Spring semester, we will have deleted your computer and devices from your system. You must register all of your devices again. The registration process will scan your computer for compliance with the above requirements. Be sure to have your Computer Account before proceeding. Please note that you cannot register using a dial-up connection.
Just a reminder that soon after each Fall and Spring semester ends, we normally delete all registered devices from our system. You may need to re-register your device(s) again at the beginning of each semester. You may click on the below icon to register your computer again.
Once registered, laptop owners can proceed to configure their computer for the wireless network.
