The Board approved Policy 14 on January 10, 2002. When the Policy Commission transferred the travel rule to the boards of governors, the Commission also retained jurisdiction of the former State College System rule and ultimately promulgated a new statewide travel rule, HEPC Series 29, in August.
In October, the President placed Policy 14 out for general comment for potential revisions by the Board. No comments were received. On November 5, the President distributed the draft contained on the following pages for a 30-day comment period. The format is proposed to be reorganized to become consistent with the new format of the HEPC Series 29, as requested by the State Auditor.
The draft is included in this Agenda to give the Board an opportunity to discuss the proposed changes. It is contemplated that the Policy would be proposed for adoption of amendments at the December Board meeting.
