Meeting of the SHEPHERD COLLEGE BOARD OF GOVERNORS November 14, 2002 Agenda Item No. 16 Student Community Service Through the Office of Student Community Services, the student experience is enriched with community outreach activities. This Office, a part of Student Affairs, sponsors projects that enhance students' learning opportunities by integrating service into the classroom curriculum. The Office also coordinates service projects for academic and social organizations, resident assistants, and staff. The goal of Student Community Services is to teach students to be active in their communities and to prepare them for responsible citizenship. A brief presentation will be done at the Board meeting by the Office of Student Community Services about some of the community service the students are doing.
