Requesting Audio-visual Services

Faculty, staff and administrators may request Audio-visual services. We ask that you make your request at least 72 hours in advance.

There are several ways of obtaining services and equipment:

•   By visiting Media Services in person.
•   By written request
•   By phone: 304 876-5174.
•   By e-mail: avmsweb@shepherd.edu
•   By FAX: 304 876-5129.
•   By coordinating requests through academic departments.
•   Through use of audio-visual equipment assigned to or purchased by academic departments.

Any audio-visual needs for special events must be submitted directly to Media Services. Preview facilities and other in-house services are available in our audio-visual Media Lab on a self-service and first-come first-serve basis. A staff person will be available to demonstrate machine operation and to assist in solving problems associated with use.

Criteria for Borrowing A-V Equipment

• Audio-visual equipment will not be loaned to students.**
• AV equipment may be borrowed for up to 30 days.*
• Please remember your request must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance.
• Departments may have extended loan privileges for certain audio visual equipment.*
• If copyright software, materials or programs are submitted for duplication or off-air recording; federal copyright laws must be followed and a clearance from appropriate sources should be obtained by requester.

**Equipment can be loaned to faculty and assigned to students for short term use.
