Degree Options

The Department of Art offers several degree options in art.


The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is the professional degree recognized for students who desire to become professional artists. BFA candidates may concentrate in graphic design, painting, photography/computer digital imagery, printmaking or sculpture.


The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in art education is offered for students interested in the teaching profession with either a K-12 or 5-12 certification.


In addition to these degree options the department also offers two minors, one in art and one in photography/computer digital imagery. The Department also serves the General Studies curriculum through the 2 credit hour "Introduction to the Visual Arts" course ART 103.
