Michael Mendez
Michael C. Mendez received his B.F.A. from the Corcoran College of Art in 1990, and completed his M.F.A. at the University of Colorado in 1994. Michael divides his time between being a practicing artist and teaching. Since 1997 he has been an adjunct instructor at Shepherd University where he has taught a variety of courses, including: Photography, Foundations of Design, History of Photography, and Aesthetics. As a founding member of The Blue Elephant Art Center in Frederick, MD he has curated shows spotlighting many of the regions’ best artists. His work can regularly be seen in group and solo shows around the country.
