Alumni and Ram fans invited to October 6 Homecoming Happy Hour

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Homecoming at Shepherd University will run October 2-7, and will once again include a Homecoming Happy Hour on Friday, October 6, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. where Ram fans and alumni can get a preview of Saturday’s game from Coach Monte Cater. The event, which will take place in the Smallwood and Small Pavilion at Ram Stadium, costs $25 per person and will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages. The Happy Hour is one of several activities alumni and the public are encouraged to participate in during homecoming week. Other events include the Founders Day Celebration, Friday, October 6, at 3:30 p.m. A parade will begin in front of McMurran Hall and proceed to the Potomac Place front lawn, followed by a reception, Jazz Ensemble performance, and banner contest. The annual Homecoming 2017 Alumni Breakfast sponsored by the Shepherd University Foundation and Shepherd University Alumni Association will take place Saturday, October 7, at 9 a.m. on the front lawn of McMurran Hall. The Homecoming parade will begin at 10 a.m. on German St. The homecoming football game featuring the Shepherd Rams vs. West Liberty University begins at noon and will include the introduction of the Homecoming Court and recognition of the Outstanding Alumna of the Year recipient, Holly McCall, during halftime.
