PLACEMENT TEST FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE
A foreign language placement test is given for students who have taken French, German, or Spanish in high school. The test is required if a student wishes to continue with the same language that was studied in high school. A student seeking a B.A. degree may waive three, six, nine, or twelve credit hours of the requirement by passing the test at the first, second, third, or fourth semester level, respectively. ("Waive" means exemption from all or part of the requirement; credit toward the degree is not granted). All students continuing a foreign language at Shepherd which was taken in high school MUST take the placement test given in that language.
