CREDIT EVALUATION POLICIES and PROCEDURES
Credit is awarded to transfer students based on policies of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission and Shepherd University. All credits attempted and/or completed at an institution of collegiate rank will be posted to the permanent record of Shepherd University, and all grades for attempted work are posted as received from the student's previous institution. A student's grade point average from a previous institution is carried forward to Shepherd and is shown as both a transfer average and as part of the student's cumulative average. On the student's grade report , a third average, the Shepherd University average, is also computed, which will not include transfer work.
