Academic Community Outreach to host January 25 high school dual enrollment information night

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Academic Community Outreach office is hosting a dual enrollment information night on Thursday, January 25, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Erma Ora Byrd Hall auditorium. The event is free and open to students from Berkeley and Jefferson counties who are interested in learning more about taking classes at Shepherd while attending high school, and their parents. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 6 p.m.

Junior and senior high school students from the two counties who are enrolled in dual enrollment classes receive both high school and college credit simultaneously. Students who are interested in taking dual enrollment classes should contact their high school counselor at the completion of their sophomore year. The Deadline to apply is May 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
