Dr. James B. Tuttle Dr. James B. Tuttle II received his BA in English (with distinction) and French, and his MA in English Literature, from James Madison University (VA); he earned his Ph.D. in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. He has won several awards as a public school teacher, including the Richmond Times-Dispatch Journalism Teacher of the Year award. He taught at Dickinson (PA) College prior to joining the faculty at Shepherd (WV) University, where he is currently a member of the Department of Education and principal investigator for the West Virginia Professional Development School initiative. He, his wife and their daughter live in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Shenandoah River.
