SHEPHERD WOMEN'S TENNIS TEAM HEADED TO REGIONAL PLAY

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherd University women's tennis team will travel to Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan for the 2004 NCAA II Great Lakes Women's Tennis Regional Tournament on May 6-7.

Shepherd (16-6) received an automatic bid to the regional tournament by claiming the WVIAC title this year. The Rams will face host Ferris State on Thursday at noon in their first NCAA regional appearance. The winner will face the victor of the Mercyhurst-Michigan Tech contest on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
