2002: Appeared in 23 games with 17 starts. Batted .128 with six hits, three RBI , and nine runs scored. Also smacked three doubles. Belted sacrifice fly that broke a 4-4 tie and lifted Shepherd to a 6-4 win over Barton College in the season opener.

2001: Appeared in 33 games with 27 starts. Batted .326 with 14 runs scored and 14 runs batted in. Added six doubles and a home run. Named Co-WVIAC Player of the Week for March 12 after tying a school record for most hits in a game with a 5-for-5 effort in Shepherdıs 15-10 win over UNC-Pembroke on March 11.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2000 graduate of Brooke Point High School.

Personal: Born 1-23-82. The son of Jose and Mary Serrano. Majoring in sports management. His cousin, Sammy Serrano, is a catcher in the Giants organization. Boasts a 3.69 grade point average.
