Jodie Runner

Entering her fifth season as the assistant women's basketball coach is West Virginia native Jodie Runner. Before joining the Rams staff, Runner spent two seasons as an assistant girl's basketball coach at both University High School and Albert Gallatin High School.

Runner is responsible for coordinating the Ram conditioning programs. She is also position coach for the guards. Runner also is in charge of academic progress, scouting, tape exchange, and team travel.

Runner also serves as the director of intramurals at Shepherd.

"So much of our team's development on and off the court depends upon Coach Runner's insight. She's very demanding of our players in pre-season workouts. She gets the most out of every one of them. We're a better team because of Coach Runner's influence." - Betsy Blose

A 1993 graduate of West Virginia University, Runner played four seasons of college basketball. She was a member of the 1991-92 WVU team that reached the NCAA Sweet 16 and was ranked 11th in the nation.
